*Very Rare & Unique Rolling Stones Framed Linticular Art* Must See-.
Up for your consideration is a VERY unique piece. In fact I believe it to be one of a kind. The story with this piece is just as unique and potentially could make it VERY valuable. The guy I purchased it from told me. In the late 1930’s a Company in New York was created with the start of the famous lenticular art that became a sensation in the 50s, 60s & 70’s..VariVue.. what I was told is that this piece actually came from their collection…The release of “Their Satanic Majesties Request” in 1967 The Rolling Stones answer to a little band that called themselves the BEATLES and their Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band. Both having similar album art. The story goes when the Stones LP came out, they hired VariVue to do the complete album in their lenticular art. Only to find out that was quite an expensive task. They asked VariVue to perhaps scale it down in size and instead of the whole album being lenticular art, they would used only the smaller one (this one) and use regular vinyl cardboard to complete the Parameter of the album. I was told that this one you are seeing came off the wall of VariVue headquarters before they lost their first building to a fire. That being said…this could very well be the prototype of the downsizing of the art that was sent to the band and their affiliates for approval to complete the newly, more cost effective album art. Also, each one of the “Sticky Fingers” famous tongue pins are original and have the local union responsible for their creation. All together to create an absolute masterpiece with mystery to match. I have tried to reach out to a few people to try and get the story verified and every time I had a lead, something came up and either I or someone who would verify the story, fell through. I unfortunately have to let it go at this moment as well as the mystery to the story. I’m hoping the new owner can pick up where I left off and if it ends up being a true story, don’t forget me!!
