NWA 10898 Official Meteorite - LL3.10 Type 3 - G672-0006 - COA - CONTROVERSIAL

Hello and thank you for viewing my listing. Today you are purchasing a large part slice specimen of NWA 10898 Chondrite Type 3 LL3.10 Meteorite from Northwest Africa. This is one of my most treasured classifications, LL3.10, beyond rare and most beautiful when cut. She displays beautiful chondrules distributed throughout the matrix with tons of inclusions, xenoliths and clasts. Stunning when cut. 1 of 7, EVER! Number 5 to be specific. Very controversial meteorite with NASA being involved and I can't elaborate anymore, lol. It's a long story and I will tell one day in a book, lol. These are the last two large specimens going into the store today, all others will be sub gram and micro. The main mass has markings on it that NASA drew on the stone during our endeavor, so I am not sure I will ever cut or sell that specimen. The only other specimen larger than these two were a donation I gave to Dick Pugh (R.I.P.) back in 2017 for Cascasdia in Portland. Let's just say "they" found something in 3d imaging when they had the stone, this is why I keep the main mass now. What did they see?? The specimen was beyond rare from the start being LL3.10, then all this drama, lol.
My catalog number is G672-0006 and weighs in at 6.17 grams and comes with my card of authenticity
for provenance. Remember, provenance is a must when collecting meteorites.
I have designed a COA for NWA 10898, as I do with all of my classified material. This is only the 5th LL3.10 type 3 chondrite EVER classified.
