This specimen features XRF = X-ray Fluorescence = Elemental analysis of stone; The XRF gun is what I use in the field hunting meteorites, also used for analysis of unclassified meteorites that are suspicious in character and maybe something rare and not known to the physical eye to be so. Believe me, I've found some very interesting meteorites that are classified now and/or are still being classified and scientific papers are being written about these stones still. The XRF gun is used in many industries, mostly mining and oil/gas.
This stone was suspicious enough to shoot for analysis but too small to be sent in for classification. Provided for YOUR records is the XRF data and it is up to YOU to write this information down for your records. I will send and provide the "original" XRF yellow sticky tab paper also for your records, there is a picture of this in the pictures along with the stone.
