DMC Linen Embroidery Floss is made of 100% Western European linen fibers which are recognized as the best in the world. Now cross stitchers can use this unique floss, with its authentic and natural qualities, to create needlework projects with a natural look and feel. Linen floss comes in a beautiful matte finish, ideal for stitching designs that capture the subtle beauty and texture of nature. Color numbers cross match the DMC Cotton Embroidery Floss numbering system. Cross stitchers can blend both types of floss for creations that will come to life with a unique new look.

Regardless of the name, the numbers and colors are consistent. These are a beautiful "mauvey" tint to all of the colors and are excellent for any work that you would like to see have that vintage look (such as samplers)
