Good quality 34.5 grams meteorite from Campo del Cielo fall in Argentina discovered by the Spanish in 1576. Campo del Cielo meteorites are classified as a Group IAB Og polycrystalline, coarse octahedrite and are composed of 93% iron, 6.7% nickel and trace amounts of various elements and compounds. There are dimples, grooves, ridges and indentations from its high velocity ablative flight through the upper atmosphere attesting to the violence of the entry. Beautiful shape, in excellent condition. Length 7/8 inches.
