    This artifact being offered for auction is an authentic Campo de Cielo meteorite, cert. as authentic by International Numismatic Bureau (reg. # 221645601). This outstanding meteorite fragment is from the Campo de Cielo debris field, which is located in Argentina. A certificate of authenticity is provided. Please refer to the photos for more details.
    While the meteor struck the earth approx. 5,000 years ago, it was discovered by Spanish conquistadors in A.D. 1576. Several years ago these meteorites were declared a national treasure by the Argentinian government and future exports have been outlawed.
    Nothing else is known about this artifact.
