This
Stratasys Fortus Finishing Touch Smoothing Station
is brand new. It was taken out of the crate setup and used once to see that everything was working correctly. It was purchased for a project that got canceled.
This system is used to vapor smooth 3d prints. This will remove build lines that are left from the 3d printing process to give you an injection mold quality part. It is fully automated so there is no sanding and polishing involved. This eliminates the labor involved in finishing 3d printed parts.
This is a good opportunity to save on a new system.
We can ship via freight on a pallet or you can pickup locally in Knoxville, TN.
We can deliver in the southeast for an extra charge.

The Stratasys Finishing Touch Smoothing Station is a proven method to dramatically reduce, and in many cases eliminate, the need for manual post finishing.
Finish FDM® parts to near injection-molded quality
The Finishing Touch? Smoothing Station uses a semiautomated process to improve the surface finish of FDM parts to near injection-molded quality without the labor and cost associated with traditional manufacturing. In fact, Finishing Touch makes FDM parts 15 times smoother.

With Finishing Touch you can make FDM concept models, patterns or end use parts 15 times smoother. Small layer lines are easily removed, leaving you with a surface finish close to an injection molded part.
Real Results
Smoothing with Finishing Touch does not affect part accuracy. An independent study was conducted by the University of Texas-El Paso to test part accuracy after the smoothing process. The study found that the smoothing process made negligible dimensional changes on smoothed parts.
Less Labor
With little labor and a short processing cycle, the Finishing Touch? Smoothing Station yields prototypes, tools and end-use parts that have finishes that are ready for paint, plating or production. The Smoothing Station can provide a surface finish of 32-63 microns. The success of the smoothing process has prompted companies to re-evaluate FDM for applications that have used competitive technologies. In many cases, FDM was the preferred solution, but the time and expense to finish the parts was not suitable for the application. The Smoothing Station gives these companies the strength of FDM parts with the smooth surface finish that they need.
HOW IT WORKS
There?s virtually no preparation needed to smooth your parts with the Smoothing Station. Just expose your part in the smoothing chamber and allow your part to cure.
It?s As Easy As 1-2-3:
Place your part in the cooling chamber
Move part to the smoothing chamber for 30 seconds
Place part back in the cooling chamber
Remove from the cooling chamber and review surface finish.
Repeat if further smoothing required
